Ana Larade has spent more than a decade working in community and nonprofit organizations in New Brunswick.
Through that work, she has worked closely with residents, service providers, and local organizations. She has seen where systems help people move forward and where they fall short. Those experiences shaped how she approaches leadership: look at problems honestly, understand what is driving them, and focus on solutions that actually work.
Ana believes good decisions come from listening carefully, explaining things clearly, and following through.
Before entering public life, Ana worked a range of jobs, including as a seamstress and on film sets.
Those experiences gave her a firsthand understanding of the realities many people face: contract work, unstable income, and the day-to-day pressures of running small operations or creative projects.
They also shaped her belief that local economies depend on more than large developments. Small businesses, independent workers, and creative industries are an important part of a healthy city.
Ana continues to support the arts community through her work with the Writers’ Federation of New Brunswick.
Much of Ana’s career has been spent working inside community systems.
She has worked with nonprofit organizations and community partners to address issues affecting residents, from access to services to the way local systems interact.
That experience gave her a practical understanding of how decisions ripple across housing, transportation, safety, and economic opportunity.
It also reinforced her belief that leadership should focus on solving root problems rather than managing symptoms.
Ana believes residents deserve clear explanations about how decisions are made.
That means:
Trust grows when leadership is transparent and focused on real outcomes.

Moncton is changing quickly.
As the city grows, many residents are feeling pressure from rising housing costs, transportation challenges, and the pace of development.
After years of working with community organizations and seeing how local systems affect people’s lives, Ana Larade decided to run for council to help the city face these challenges clearly and make better decisions for residents.

Housing pressures affect many parts of daily life. When housing becomes harder to find or afford, it affects families, workers, and local businesses.
Ana believes the city should focus on practical steps that increase housing supply and support development that people can realistically afford.

Transportation is about access to opportunity.
Residents need reliable ways to reach work, school, and essential services. When transportation works well, it reduces cost-of-living pressures and helps people stay connected to their community.

Local businesses and creative workers are an important part of Moncton’s economy and culture.
Ana believes city systems should work for local operators and reflect the realities of how people earn a living in the community.

Ana believes residents deserve clear explanations about how decisions are made.
That means sharing what she is hearing from the community, explaining trade-offs honestly, and focusing on decisions that produce real outcomes rather than short-term fixes.
Her goal is simple: help Moncton grow in a way that strengthens communities and keeps the city working for the people who live here.
